First it starts with a emergency call
from you the citizen. When tragedy strikes call 9-1-1

A dispatcher
for Kanawha County Metropolitan Communications will take the call and
broad cast a tone or tones over the radio that will set off
Tyler Mountain Fire Department pagers. These pagers are capable of
Beeping or Vibrating to Alerting the firefighter's or EMT's of a
emergency.

Also Metro can
set off the siren on top of the fire house ( formerly mounted on a
pole in front of the fire station.
