ATV Rescue Team
 

 

 
 
The Tyler Mountain ATV Rescue Team was organized in the fall of 2005
after members went to the Wood County Fire School.
Seeing that there is a need in not just in our community but the Kanawha County as well.
Just after the members decided to form the team, word had spread to other local fire department members.
Then just under a month the team was called into action in the St. Albans area to asst the Sheriff's department and St. Albans West Side Fire Department in locating a missing couple.
 
The Team is under the leadership of Capt.. James Hill and qualifications are simple and are the basic requirements for firefighter which include.
  • Be a member of the Tyler Mt Fire Department
  • Have had the ATV Search and Rescue Class
  • 1st Aid or EMT - B
  • CPR
  • Firefighter 1
  • Basic Haz Mat
